For Husband and Wife

So yeah, this is my Goku and ChiChi moment
The moment where Goku tells ChiChi that despite what she thinks, he really does appreciate everything she does.

Akira Toriyama said he wasn't really comfortable writing romance
(hence the lack of in the manga) so that's why the theres some
in the anime, but alas, it's only filler.

But I personally think on the behalf of Goku's character that the creator was trying to portray a certain kinship and caring between certain characters, and didn't limit Goku's unconditional love by saying that he was "in-love " but rather had bonds with people, adding to the purity of Goku.


Another thing is, due to his uncomfortable feelings towards writing romance, I think he left it up to the imagination of the fans, because there is none is the manga. For any character.
That's it.

The romance aspect of Dragon Ball Z (with the exception of Gohan and Videl) has been created by the fans. (I'm at fault here too )

*Note* a few things
In this comic, Goku says that he loves ChiChi. It was never said to anyone else (directly) by him so far in the comic, not even
Bulma (And this is a Goku and Bulma comic!!) So it's pretty big.


I respect ChiChi a lot, I really do. She's strong and only wants what's best for her family.

But I will say it again, as for Goku being "in-love" with her (or ANYONE for that matter, including Bulma.) I am sorry, but I don't see it, nor do I think the creator intended him to be.


I do KNOW that he loved her! Dearly! But there is a difference between two.

But anyway

She's very important, and you will be seeing more of ChiChi in other comics.

Remember, I am following the canon, so all the characters will end up with their respected spouses.
